SYSTEM INIT: INSUFFICIENT MEMORY TO BOOT THE IMAGE!

Luigi A. Rojas

I bought a cisco 1841 router, but when I started the device it said that I do not have enough memory, which I do not understand since the router has a 256mb flash module that is more than enough to start the IOS, and also the boot cycle never it stops. I would greatly appreciate if you help me solve this problem.

Sorry for my english I'm using a translator.

The boot messages are attached.

Post the complete output to the command "sh version". I believe the DRAM of the router is <256 Mb.

I can't access the CLI, how can I do it?

Try a different IOS that will work with a DRAM of <256 Mb.
The 1841 has a CF, eject that and copy the IOS into the CF directly using a multi-card reader.

I checked the router inside and the Dram slot is empty, that is, the router only has the Dram memory by default and Cisco recommends 256mb for the IOS 15 versions. Apparently the vendor accidentally did not include the memory to the router when I made the I only have to wait for the module to be delivered and verify that it works.
Thanks for the answers.
