tacacs-server directed-request

Hi,

We upgraded our Catalyst 9200L and 2960x, and according to the release notes, Cisco suggested to change 'tacacs-server * ' into 'tacacs server * ' configuration.

We have tacacs-server directed-request configuration on the old version.

Could any one help to suggest how how can I change that command please?

There is no 'tacacs server directed-request' command. Only 'tacacs-server directed-request' command available on IOS or IOS-EX.

Thanks

Thanks.

tacacs server directed-request

This command causes the router to split each username into two parts, separated by the @ symbol. The first part is the actual username used for authentication; the second part is the name of the TACACS server to send the request to.

Username: username@10.10.10.1
Password:

R1#

The command is the same on old and new IOS

R1(config)#tacacs-server directed-request

If the command is not available in your current IOS version, there are a few potential workarounds:

Check for Updates: Verify that your IOS or IOS-XE version is up to date, as Cisco could introduce this command in a newer version.

Cisco Documentation: Look through the latest Cisco command reference guides to see if there is an updated or alternative command introduced that you might have missed.
