Teamed network cards on cisco 2960G

I have a server that has teamed network cards.  This is connected by two straight through cables to a Cisco 2960G.  The two ports are not aggregated or teamed.

What is the impact of this configuration to my network?

Hi,

It really depends on the Teaming on Server side :-

1> If the teaming on the server is just for Fault tolerance, then you would not see any effect on the network as one of the ethernet connection on the switch will stay down.

2> If the teaming is configured with load balancing + FT  and you do not have port channel configuration on the switch then you will Duplicate packets or degraded service.
