Hi,

I am implementing Terminal Server connectivity for DC.

4 of my devices are far than the distance of 200 mts. So I have connected the device to terminal server by following method.

Terminal Server(RJ45) -----> (RJ45)Media Converter ----------------(Fiber cable)----------------------------Media Converter(RJ45)----------Con 0 (Device)

After configuring the Terminal server, i am able to access other devices except these 4 devices which are connected via Media Converter.

Can someone please help resolving this issue.

Regards,

Mon

I have not attempted this setup before, but it's unlikely it will ever work. Since the console port uses a rollover cable and not a standard cat5/5e/6 cable. The fiber converter is going to convert the electrical signal to optical based on Ethernet standards, thus rendering this setup unusable. Hope that helps. Regards, Mike
