1. It's possible to launch into multimode using LRM optics as we have in our Cisco 6500's ?
2. what is needed , possibly special launch cable , also what is needed on the HPE J9851A Switch 5412Rzl2 if going to a normal sfp+?

I don't know which SFP+ is assumed as normal, but single-mode operates at 1310nm wavelengh (so does the LRM Module) and multi-mode operates at 850 nm wavelengh as default.
-> LR and LRM Modules are compatible with each other
SR Modules does operate at 850 nm wavelenght , though
So it does depends on the Module which is plugged in the HP Switch

This is from the "way back machine", but I recall there being something called a mode conditioning cable that was required to use long range optics with multi-mode fiber. I never had the occasion to use one.
