Transmitting and receiving frame counts

Let say, node A was sending data  to node B on Ethernet.

On node A, will the transmitting and receiving frame counts pretty much the same?  Or the transmitting frame count should be much larger than receiving count?

Thanks!

Much depends on the protocol being used.

For example, if TCP is being used, TCP will usually ACK every other received packet.  I.e. On node A, transmitted to received counts would be about 2:1.

Yes, TCP was used.  So it's approximately 2:1?

Yes, for TCP from just A to B.
