I'm trying to configure contexts for various VRF's in a router (specifically testing on a 2811 running IOS 15.1.4). My understanding is that for SNMPv2c, the contexts should be available by polling the device with <community>@<context>, confirmed by reference in atleast one cisco guide. For the life of me, I have found no working examples (or examples at all) that show how to produce this behavior, and none of the SNMP guides/examples that get include contexts end up functioning this way.
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios/netmgmt/command/reference/nm_book/nm_20.html#wp1094451 ... where, in reference to the community string, it states: "Note The "at" sign (@) is used for delimiting the context information.", but provides no further explaination.
My assumption is that the contexts are supposed to be automatically appended to the community string as they are configured, and that seperate communities which explicitly include the '@' for each context are not required.
Can anyone provide, or direct me to an example that does produce this behavior?, or is there an assumed configuration or platform requirement that's simply missing in the references (like activation of a relevant service perhaps)?
Thanks to anyone that can provide some insight ... this has had me stumped for days.
