hi every body!
i just want to confirm the following:
sw1(config-if)#switchport
#switchport mode dynamic desirable
sw2(config-if)#switchport
# switchport mode dynamic desirable.
Will the trunk form? or do we need to use the command: switchport trunk encapsulation negotiate on both switches?
thanks a lot!

switchport trunk encapsulation negotiate is the default setting on a switchport, thus there isn't a need to enter such command.
A switchport will form a trunk under the following modes.
Desirable<->Desirable
Desirable<->Auto
on<->on
