Hi,

Is that interface connected? The interface needs to be connected to something for it to come up as trunk.

Thanks

John

ok so that did the trick

but it raised another question

When i put the first switch to (desirable) and the second to (desirable) there was a conflict in the VTP.

My book says that D to D a trunk will be formed.

but when I put one an auto seem to work.

my question is why didnt it work when i put the second switch on Desirable

and i recieved an DTP mismatch error?

Hi,

Can you post the port configuration of both switches.

Thanks

John
