Networking newbie :-
I did some reading on SVI and created a packet tracer exercise. Both switches are on their default vlan (vlan 1). I have assigned different svi IPs (vlan 1 svi) to both (192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1). Attached 3 PCs on each switch with different IPs and the GW as 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1 respectively. I connect these two switches to a 2911 router on different ports and have the ports on the 2911 with IPs 192.168.1.254 and 192.168.2.254. Show IP route on the 2911 shows the connected routes. I am unable to ping PCs on either side. All ports on either switch are default vlan 1 ports with different SVI IPs.
