Hi Experts ,
Could u please tell me how the UDP packets from Clients (For DHCP request) is handled by HSRP enabled gateways?I given helper address in gateways
Whether both active/passive will reply for the packet ?

Hi,
the UDP broadcasts sent by the clients will be forwarded to the configured IP helper addresses regardless of the HSRP state.
The forwarding paths of the active and standby router may be different as they depend on the routing-tables.
The client will accept the first DHCP OFFER it receives.

Thanks a lot Mr.fischer for the reply . Hence both Active and standby router will forward the UDP packets to DHCP server.
And both will respond with DHCP offer to Clients.
