Hello,
Sorry if my question sounds obvious, but it is really weird to me, I have a switch running as VTP server, however, I can't find any config related to VTP in the running-config:
switch_name#show vtp status VTP Version capable : 1 to 3 VTP version running : 3 VTP Domain Name : Domain_name VTP Pruning Mode : Disabled VTP Traps Generation : Enabled Device ID : 0056.2bd9.1800 Feature VLAN: -------------- VTP Operating Mode : Primary Server Number of existing VLANs : 70 Number of existing extended VLANs : 6 Maximum VLANs supported locally : 4096 Configuration Revision : 12 Primary ID : 0056.2bd9.7777 Primary Description : switch_name MD5 digest : 0x3E 0xFB 0x53 0x82 0x03 0x94 0x6E 0x32 0x79 0x05 0xC7 0x42 0x84 0xA9 0xA5 0xCD Feature MST: -------------- VTP Operating Mode : Transparent Feature UNKNOWN: -------------- VTP Operating Mode : Transparent
switch_name#show running-config | i vtp switch_name# switch_name# switch_name# switch_name#show startup-config | i vtp switch_name# switch_name#
Does this sound familiar?

VTP Server or Clent mode configs are not saved in NVRAM so you will not see it in the running-config on Cisco switch. Those are saved in VLan.dat file on flash drive of a switch.
VTP transparent mode configs are saved there and those u will see in running-config. Change mode and do write then see it in show run.

you won't see any vtp config unless you are running in transparent mode.
the caveat to that is I'm not sure of the differences across platforms, and you didn't say what platform this is.

Hi, thanks for your reply
This is Catalyst 3850, but I am still confused, What should I do to see the config or transfer the config script to another switch for example?

Normally, the expectation is, "transfer" to another switch would be via VTP update. I.e. as the new switch joins an existing VTP domain.
Also, with what Martin mentioned about VTP transparent mode would also apply to VTP off mode (if supported on the device).
