Hello,

I'm able to add new NTP server but unable to delete it. Firstly it had taken no ntp server IP command but still it is showing on ntp peers and even when we are trying to remove it again getting "No such entry present" message and old server still sending ntp request.

Following is the output of ntp.

version 7.0(3)I7(8) Bios:version 07.61
ntp server 10.X.X.1 prefer use-vrf default
ntp server 10.X.X.3 use-vrf default
ntp server 10.X.X.10 --> Deleted but still showing
ntp server 10.X.X.16 --> Deleted but still showing
ntp source-interface VlanX

Need you assistance to remove old ntp server from configs.

Thanks.

Hey!

Can you post the output of the error messages exactly is when you perform this?

conf t
no ntp server 10.X.X.10
no ntp server 10.X.X.16
end
copy run start

Thanks and br

Thanks Juls for your prompt response.

Have tried the same but still it is showing on show run ntp output.

Below is the output,

XXX01(config)# no ntp server 10.X.X10 prefer use-vrf default
No such entry present.
XXX-01(config)#

Interesting.

Just a thought, in the config you posted initially the entry wasn't exactly written like this.
Can you also post the output of "show run | grep ntp"?

Thanks and br

Workaround provided, add and remove.

Hello,

try and disable NTP altogether, then re-add it:

no feature ntp

feature ntp

in global configuration mode.
