unrecoverable Cisco 3750 switch

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

After re-image the flash of my c3750 switch, it will not boot properly anymore. See below how the boot process (between "") works.

After this, the switch hangs.....

I already follow the standard procedure:

switch: flash_init

switch: load_helper

switch: copy xmodem: flash:c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-50.SE2.bin

switch: boot

and...

switch: flash_init

I see similar characters scrolling on the screen after I start "flash_init" or "format flash:".

Strange detail: I see no directories with the dir flash: command,

I almost used every option of the switch mode console and do not know what to do so far.

Hello Marcel,

I am sorry about the problems you're having.

Regarding the question about directories: each filesystem has a root directory. That is why the fsck reports 1 directory though you do not see any.

It is conceivable that the image you tried to install has performed a bootloader upgrade and this has gone wrong. Unfortunately, I am at loss what would lead directly to a solution of your problem. I see two possibilities: either trying to revert back to an old version of IOS and hope that it will be able to boot, or instead, trying to install the current version for the 3750 which is the 12.2(50)SE3. According to your output, however, you have already tried that, is that so?

Have you also tried the fsck -test flash: command? Does it report any errors?

Also, while in bootloader mode, verify the environment variables using the set command. Try to make sure that only those variables do exist which are listed in the following URL and that they have the default values according to that URL. All other environment variables should be deleted using the unset command.

I attached a file with output, due to webiste "stack" errors. First the result of "set", second the resuut of "flash_init" and last the result of "fsck -test flash:".

I have uploaded 2 old images, just in case there is some bad block on flash. Neither will boot.

After uploading images, rebooting, flash format. flash_init for hundred times) I get the message:

I seems that block 124 is bad. And it seems that block 124 is always used (read). Something like sector 0 of a HD.

Unfortunately, a HD is cheaper to replace than a whole C3750, because flash is fixed on the board.

If there is a way to tell the system not to use block 124, then it would work out.

Guys, I am a new user in this community.

Did you by any chance backup the old ios before re_imaging?.

Actually, I have different situation for catalyst 3524 switch, which wouldn't even connect properly with the terminal emulator to enable me issue command.

When I switch on the switch and try to connect, it shows " <0><0><0><0> <0><0>  <0><0<0><0>  `À<0><0><0><0><0><0>", and hangs.

Any new idea will be  appreciated!
