Hello,

Depending on the specific NX-OS software release you're currently running as well as the specific NX-OS software release you want to upgrade to, you may be able to perform a non-disruptive (also sometimes called an In-Service Software Upgrade, or ISSU for short) upgrade, or you may have to perform a disruptive upgrade where the switch reloads. Cisco recommends referencing the Cisco Nexus 7000 Series NX-OS Release Notes, Release 8.x document for ISSU upgrade paths.

You will need access to the admin VDC of the chassis in order to perform the upgrade. You will not be able to perform a software upgrade from a child VDC.

I hope this helps - thank you!

Thank you @Christopher Hart

I checked the document and I saw that my upgrade is supported by ISSU from version 7.3(4)D1(1) to Version 8.2(6).

Ok therefore I need recover the chassis management to do the upgrade correctly
