Hello,
I have an upgrade planned for a Cisco 6500 chassis switch. The switch only has 1 supervisor.
I have the following upgrade plan in mind:
- Copy the IOS bin on the supbootdisk
- Change the boot variables - no boot system <old image> , boot system <new image>
- Reload the chassis
This should cover it correct?
The next 6500 has 2 supervisor, do i just copy the IOS on both the supbootdisk and the alternate supbootdisk and then change the bootvariables again?
Kind Regards,
Yannick Vranckx

That's fine. I have no issue with the procedures you've mentioned.
