Hey Guys,
I have a short question to the upgradepath of Cisco.
Device# sh version
Cisco IOS Software, IOS-XE Software, Catalyst L3 Switch Software (CAT3K_CAA-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 03.03.00SE
Would it be possible to upgrade directly to Version 3.3.xSE or is there an upgrade-path?
I did not see any path how to upgrade, but know that other companies have an upgrade-path.
Thank you for your time.

Usually you can install any IOS version supported by your hardware. I.e. you don't normally need to load intermediate IOS versions.
However, sometimes Cisco changes configuration statements between IOS versions. Jumping up a version or two is usually not a problem, but jumping many versions up, or even one version back, might cause some existing configuration statements to be unrecognized.

Hi Joseph,
thanks for your answer.
I saw, that the size of the switch is greater than 200 mb, so it would be better to use ftp, right?
A second question (because I am new on cisco catalyst series), where is the difference in the two software images:
CAT3850 UNIVERSAL W/O DTLS
and
CAT3850 UNIVERSAL
Many thanks
