Uplinks redundncy between VSS core switch and 4500 Switch with 2 Supe.

Hello

I have a design like below

Cre Layer

2x6500 in VSS state

Edge Layer

4500 edge switch that includes two WS-X45-SUP6L-E/2 , one sup in active state and the other in standby state
every sup uses 10G uplink to the core switch

the question isregarding the edge switch

if the uplink on the active Sup came down can the active Sup use the other uplink connected to the standby Sup , and if yes what can make it comes true?
can both Uplinks on both Sups particpate in Ether channel ?

Hi,

Yes, both links from both Sups can participate in Ether channel . On the 4500 make sure that both Sups are in SSO mode and then build a Portchannel and put one 10Gig link from each Sup in that Portchannel.
