UPS insertion for Cisco WS-C4507R

Hi,

We are inserting a UPS to a switch in production. Switch is specifically WS-C4507R with dual power supply.  PWR-C45-4200ACV. My question is can we do this step.

1. Connect Power supply 1 to UPS

2. Check power supply 1.

3. Connect Power Supply 2 to UPS.
4. Check power supply 2.

This is to avoid downtime on the production not totally powering off the switch. Please advise. I've attached the show inventory and sh module output.

Hi,

You have plenty power available to do this, and since you only need one PSU for the chassis and all the modules, you should be able to connect one PSU at the time to your UPS with no downtime. That said, I would do it in a maintenance window just in case something unexpectedly go wrong.
