Hi
I wanted to know if i can have someone help me with what command to use.
I've loaded up GNS3 on my desktop and i'm going through my Cisco IOS in a
nutshell book and i'm pick out commands to use to understand how to make a
config from scratch.Everything looks fine when i do sh run, but when i exit all the
way out and it comes back up to my Security banner it's asking for a username
and i don't remember putting in a username. So if you can tell me what command
i'm missing i can just start back over and make a new config. Thanks in advance and
have a great evening.

Try cisco as your password.

In the GNS3 main window you can right click the router and go to Config file section, there you replace or delete username related section. Then you restart the router and set up new user from console.

Hi,
On GNS3 you can access the config so just post it here and we will tell you what's wrong or not.
Regards.

Javi is correct, follow the instructions on the link he posted. This is a procedure you should become familiar with anyway.
You most likley issued the "aaa new-model" command and didnt set up a local user database and didnt set the authentication parameters.
