Hi everyone,
this is my first post and not sure if I chose the best section (Networking Switching).
I want to configure a Cisco 2960XR switch with an encrypted USB key with password.
The USB key format is FAT32.
Is it possible to use an encrypted USB key to configure a Cisco device?
I had a doubt because when you put the key in a PC it asks for a password, but how can a switch access the key if it requires a
password?

Hi,
It will not work, so reformat it without encryption.

I actually saw in some forums that Cisco is indeed picky about USB key vendor, but my question is, no matter the USB key vendor or model, if a USB key with password can be used to configure a switch.

This is what I feared.
Thank you for your help.
