Using SFP-10G-AOC10M to connect 6880 to 6800IA

Hi Guys,

I am trying to establish the connection between 6880VSS pair and 6800IA using this SFP+fiber cable (SFP-10G-AOC10M) but the interface does not come up. I used a separate 10G SFP and separate fiber cable and it works fine. My 6880 version is 152-1.SY1a. Any restrictions using this cable? Or any added configuration needed? Any help that can be provided will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hey

make sure you match the requirements of software/hardware for these cables , just search your cable type , 6880IA at the bottom

some you will see depending on IA need slightly different versions of ios

Thanks Mark, I upgraded the IA IOS and it works fine now!
