Hi,
As the title indicates. I have a 2960X switch that has two SFP+ interfaces. From everything I've read the SFP-10G-SR module should work in these 10 gig SFP+ interface.
However, I get zero activity when I try to use these SFP-10G-SR module. Here are some additional specs:

- Check SFP compatibility for your particular switch model with : https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/

Thank you for your quick reply. I already looked at that matrix. That's why I indicated that from "what I read." Perhaps, I'm not interpreting the results of what I read correctly. Here's snippet from the matrix that, again, indicates that I should be ok. But I'm not:

- I can't get to those results , because I am not offered the same switch models when using 'Begin Your Search'
Could you provide the resulting URL from that output ?

- That one mentions the SFP , but no compatibility info with your switch,

So are you saying that it's not compatible or that it's inconclusive?

- @JJBGage If no compatibility can be found in Cisco Optics-to-Device Compatibility Matrix
then it's not compatible,

What am I suppose NOT to be seeing?
I can see two non-Cisco-branded SFP-10G-SR in Ten 1/0/1 and Ten 1/0/2.

OK, wait. I went by the serial numbers to attempt to ensure that they were Cisco product. How can you tell from the inventory output that they aren't Cisco SFP? Also, can you please tell me which SFP+ will work with the 2960x family of switches?
Thank you
Here're the same SFP+ working in other Cisco switch:

Well, did you read the bug report mentioned by @marce1000 above? It explains exactly what is happening!
In case you have no access to the bug report tool, here are the important parts:
Cisco considers this to be a "Minor" bug, meaning there are no plans to fix it.
So you need to use a different type of SFP for this specific 2960x model only, while other models should work just fine.
HTH!

OK, yes I saw the bug report. Did you see my request for a SFP that will work? Please name a specific SFP model that will work with the 2960 so I can buy it.
Thank you again.

Hmmm... I even marked the workaround in yellow in my post...
Use SFP model SFP-10G-SR-S
