Hi experts,
I found our link between Catalyst 6513 and Nexus 5010(Ethernet1/18) have very high CRC errors. Is it a cable issue? Our tech support said it is because the "protocol or fromat" between 6513 and 5010 is not match, does it make sense?
Also, the port trunking between Nexus 5010-1 and Nexus 5010-2(Ethernet 1/19, 1/20) are very high, too. Our tech support said it is because it spreads from 6513, does it make sense?
We observed intermittent packet loss in this broadcast domain and I suspect maybe something wrong in these links. I would like to replace these links. Any thoughts?

Media Problem | Suggested Actions |
Excessive noise | 1. Use the show interfaces ethernet exec command to determine the status of the router's Ethernet interfaces. The presence of many CRC errors but not many collisions is an indication of excessive noise. 2. Check cables to determine whether any are damaged. 3. Look for badly spaced taps causing reflections. 4. If you are using 100BaseTX, make sure you are using Category 5 cabling and not another type, such as Category 3. |
