Video device Polycom dot1x configured going down after sometime of its connection

Hi Experts,

I am facing a problem when i am connecting the polycom video device to 802.1x port on the switch (c3850 in stack) and its going down. it is showing below in logs:

Interface Gi4/0/37: Power Device detected: IEEE PD
%ILPOWER-5-IEEE_DISCONNECT: Interface Gi4/0/37: PD removed
%ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR: Controller port error, Interface Gi4/0/37: Power given, but State Machine Power Good wait timer timed out
%ILPOWER-5-IEEE_DISCONNECT: Interface Gi4/0/37: PD removed
%LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface GigabitEthernet4/0/37, changed state to up
%LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface GigabitEthernet4/0/37, changed state to down

BUG Detail: https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvf33653/?rfs=iqvred

i checked and it is related to above bug but, bug is fixed in 16.12.4 and i am using this IOS only. it should not hit this device. Moreover, there are 4 switches in stack and same device is working on switch number 3. so , it should not effect only one switch in stack as well.

Please help regarding this.

Regards,

Gurbinder

Just to check, is there any difference on the interface configuration between connected to switch 3 and other switches?

Hello

If this doesnt happen on all the port pertaning that particular switch It could be in this instance that you have a faulty poe port?
