you can create n number of virtual / sub-interfaces and of course it depends on your router resources.

Cisco 2811 supports IPSec Digital Encryption Standard (DES), Triple DES (3DES), Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 128, AES 192, and AES 256 cryptology without consuming an AIM slot.

If you install aditional AIM slot then you can create n number of VPN connections and of course it also depends on your router resources.
Cisco 2811 have 2 AIM slots.

Hi.

Yes i know now that the Cisco 2811 does have two AIM slots, but do i need to use them? How many VPN connections can the 2811 handle without any additional modules? The only module im planning to add is the Cisco NME-AIR-WLC6-K9 module for controling WLAN. Do i need any additional modules?

I just want it to handle about 50 VPN connections at the same time.

Hi Tommy,

For your scenario, you can go ahead without having any adition AIM modules as Cisco 2811 supported 200 by default.
If you want to use morethan 200 connections then you need to insert aditional AIM module.
