Hi all, does anyone know what vlan 4095 is used for normally ?

In Nortel switches, VLAN 4095 is used by the CPU internally to desiginate an invalid VLAN
Traffic which enters the box on an invalid VLAN is assigned by the CPU to VLAN 4095, and subsequently dropped.

VLAN 4095 is usually used by Blade Centre AMS management modules to manage blades using VLAN 4095 Serial Over LAN

Vlan 4095 is for internal use and is generally reserved.
3968 to 4095 are considered to be reserved VLANs. We can change the range if required and can configure VLANs 3968-4092 for other purposes but VLAN 4095 is always used for internal use.
I believe no access point or switch can add the VLAN 4095. If any traffic is destined for VLAN 4095, it is dropped. I'll leave the rest to experts to explain about where VLAN 4095 is exactly used.
