Hello everyone. For the past week I have been stumped. I setting up equipment for a lab and I am having problem with providing a public vlan for internet access. I am working with some basic equipment which is a Cisco 1700 series router, 2950 switch, and a very basic linksys AP.
Right now I have 2 VLANs on the switch, one is for the lab which is 10.0.0.0/24 and this provides access to a samba server. But I want the public VLAN that routes straight to the internet. I have the VLAN created on the switch, and a trunk set up between the switch and the router. But I am having a hard time figuring out how to make sure the Public VLAN goes right out to the internet and not be able to see the internal network.
Id appreciate any help. The 10.0.0.0/24 VLAN works great, but this public wireless VLAN is giving me trouble. Thanks
