Vlan configuration on cisco sg300-10

Hello everybody,

can anyone tell me, how can I configure inter vlan routing in layer 3 switch (cisco sg300-10).Switch is now in Layer 3 mode.

For example,
Vlan1, deafault :192.168.1.2/24 ----> ASA5505 192.168.1.1/24 ---> nat ----> internet.
I would like to create vlan2 and vlan3.
Port2 Atach to vlan 2 and port 3 atach to vlan 3.
PC1 (192.168.1.5/24) goes to vlan2 - port2 and PC2 (192.168.4.5/24) goes to vlan3 - port3.
The intention is that PC1 and PC2 can see each other and visa versa. (Ping and/or SMB)
Both PCs will go through VLAN1, to Internet.
What I've done so far:
1) Vlan1 192.168.1.2/24 given.

2) What should I do as  step two? Now i must link ports to VLAN'S (Port 2 to VLAN2 and Port 3 to VLAN 3)

3)You have two options: VLAN TO PORT AND PORT TO VLAN, which one should I choose?
3: Should i choose Untagged or Taggged ?
Thanks for the effort!
Regards.

Sergio

I too would like a clear detailed descripton on setting up inter-vlan routing on the SG300 series switches.  I have seached through the Cisco documentation and have not found anything.  I would think this would have been an important item to cover since this is the small business layer 3 switch.

Thanks

Charlie

First, you have only two VLANs required.  PC1 and PC2 and the ASA are all on the same subnet 192.168.1.0/24.

If you can go to this link to get information on how to configure the switch through the web interface.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/csbms/sf30x_sg30x/administration_guide/78-19308-01.pdf

Specifically, the section on VLANs how to create them and assign the different vlans to the ports.

And the section on Configuring IP Information.  You will be ending up assigning an address to the switch in bothe the 192.168.1.0 subnet and in the 192.168.4.0 subnets and then it can router between the two subnets and the switch will be the default gateway for both subnets.

You will also need to let the ASA know that there is an internal route to the 192.168.4.0 subnet and that it is through the switch.

Hope this helps.
