I have a Catalyst 3850 running IOS 16.3.
I have several VLANs on an 802.1Q Trunk, being delivered by a service provider (SP).
I need to individually Shape traffic for each VLAN. When I use the Shaping Average command, I receive the following notification:
Invalid queuing class-map!!! Queuing actions supported only with dscp/cos/qos-group/precedence/exp based classification!!!
In most cases I require the shaping to apply to all traffic within a specific VLAN without discrimination. In some others I have a mixture of Voice and general data.
I have spent hours trawling information relating to configuring QoS but have completely confounded myself. I would be extremely grateful for some direction.
