VoIP problem

LEGETO

Level 1

Hello guys, recently I tried to build a network topology in which every PC has a VoIP phone connected.

The topology has 3 departments each department having a separate data vlan and a separate voice vlan.

everything worked fine until I connected all switches in the distribution layer.... the problem occur on the Finance switch, it does not seem to get the VoIP no matter what I try... (note: if I connect the router directly to the Finance switch then the VoIP works)

I will leave the topology attach bellow...if you want and can help please do, I will be really grateful.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

you need to make sure that all Vlans actually exist on the distribution switches. I do not see Vlan 60. Manually create the Vlan on the distribution switches:

Switch#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Switch(config)#vlan 60
Switch(config-vlan)#name Finance_Voice

sounds like vlan is missing; check vlans on new switches (compare all vlans) and make sure that vlan is allowed on trunks.: show interface trunk , show vlans.

if a vlan is missing, IP phones will not be able to pass traffic to VOIP router

also, make Rapid STP works better in PT.
