VPC Domain on Single Nexus?

I know the purpose of VPC is to have more than one switch for the peer and keep-alive, etc.. 

But i have an envrionment that has multple IOS switches connected to the nexus 5k switch.  Should I or Can I create a vpc domain on a single nexus to use the features of VPC?  or should I just create port-channels on the nexus 5k to the IOS switches?

If you only have a single Nexus, you would not be using theVPC (Virtual Port Channel) function. You would just create standard port channels.

AS Gregory said you can use the Port-Channel for this.

VPC comes in to picture when you are connecting the switches to different N5k.
