We have three ESXI hosts which needs to be connected to two Upstream Nexus switches and those nexus switches are in VPC.
As of now it is orphaned ports but if I create VPC, I thought resillency can be achieved. But after reading some posts, I could understand the Route orginate virtual ID option in the ESXI will instantly failover even if active nic goes down and VPC is not actually required.
Comment or correct me through any of your experience on achieving this resillency through orphan port itself or VPC is really required. and also through VPC I can make 2 10 GIG into 20 GIG logical link..? But it can't be done if I leave it as orphaned port..? Any thoughts on this pls..?
