VRRP Problem

Hi!

I have problem with Cisco Nexus 9000 vrrp configuration.

Is it possible that i run vrrp only both vpc primary routers?

both sides are on different vpc domains. Should i add vrf member also secondary routers or do vrrp configurations those routers too?

Open attachment file first. I can ping virtual ip address and local ip address but cannot ping backup "hard" address. What kind of configurations i have to do that i get this work? I assume that both addresses have to answer ping request.

Master:

I can ping 192.168.255.1 address and 192.168.255 11 address but cannot ping 192.168.255.10. i get reguest timeout messages.

Hi,

If VRRP is configured correctly, you should be able to ping both active and stand-by switches and of course the VIP.

Can you clarify what you mean by "both sides are on different vpc domains"?

Both 9000 switches need to be on the same vpc domain.

Left side upper and lower are on vpc domain 2 and right side router are in domain 1. in different data center.

Vrrp master is in right side primary vpc domain 1 and vrrp backup is domain 2 primary router

What is correct configuration in this environment? so you think that it is problem because they are in separate domains?

I think you want the 2 upper switches on the same VPC domain and the 2 lower switches in a different VPC domain.  Can you try that and test the VRRP again?

i don't wanna do that because they are in different data centers. i wanna keep it like that. Do you think that it is a problem?
