VSS additional new LINE CARD

Hi All

I have to adding more new LINE CARD into empty module on 6500 switch . So this switch is operation by VSS

How i can do this task  and also is there awareness before to do it .

Please advice . I not sure it can insert without turnoff or not ? and also what kind of necessary command before and after insert new Line card .

Hi,

All modules for 6500 are hot swap able, meaning you can insert them while the switch is on but if you can, its better to do this in a maintenance window by shutting down the switch, insert the module and than turn it back on. No commands needed, the chassis/sup should recognize the module once inserted.
