vss and the endpoints

Hi,

I have vss enabled 6807-xl SWITCH ,using as distribution layer switches . 

Is it ok  I can connect  an end device like servers  using fiber ?

Any pros and cons

i do not see any issue, you can have any media, as long as Module has SFP support.

Virtual switching system allows 2 Cisco catalyst 6500 or 4500 chassis to bond together so that is seen as a single virtual switch to rest of the network

As Balaji mentioned this is supported.

To achieve the Best Practice design, you would want to have a connection from the server to each member of the VSS and then form a port channel, just as you would connect a switch to the VSS. This allows for the most efficient traffic flow to the server for traffic destined to it and provides link redundancy for the server.

If you have just a single link to the server, then it is likely that you would have traffic traversing the VSL between the two members of the VSS. While this is certainly supported and will work, we would prefer that data traffic use the VSL path only in  the case of a link failure.
