Hi,
Could anyone tell me if ugrading a VSS pair causes an outage to the whole pair, The upgrade doc suggests that an ouatge is only caused to each node as they are upgraded ?
Cheers,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
As per my knowledge, YES
If we upgrade vss ,thn we need to restart both boxes at the same time to reflect the configuration and sync the boxes.

Yes you do. There will be an outage.

Hi Stephen,
It depends on how you upgrade your pair. If you use eFSU/ISSU, using the same type of code, then there is no outage, as one switch will reboot at the time. If you copy and pate the image into the flash and reboot both devices at the same time, then yes there is going to be an outage. Even with the first option, I you would need to make sure you do it during an outage window, and not during production time.
