3 switches: A <--> B <--> C
all ports are configured as static trunks with only 2 allowed vlans (734 and 834)
VTP Version 3, all the switches have correct domain and password.
Switch B is a bit old, so has the 255 max vlan limit and my vlan database has over 400 vlans in it.
When i set switch B to VTP Client mode, the VLAN Manager revert it to transparent mode because of the vlan max limit.
The issue is with switch C: it's not getting the vtp data. It is sending requests, I can see enabling the debug sw-vlan vtp packets and events but switch B seems to receive and/or transmit just nothing.
Pruning is disable everywhere.
I reproduced this situation in my lab with similar switches and got the same issue. In lab, changing switch B with a different model (I used a cheap SF302-08P) solves the issue.
Last thing to test would be reducing the vlan number under 255 to let switch B go into client mode and see if then switch C gets the data.
Switch B is a WS-C2960-24PC-L with IOS 15.0(2)SE10 (also tried SE8).
Any ideas?

Could you please try by enabling pruning on the vtp server switch.

I enabled vtp pruning on the server, like you suggested. No changes. I also pushed again switch B into client mode but the vlan manager is again reverting to transparent and sw. C still doesn't receive anything.
Best regards
