VTP v3 on small switches, IE3000.

I have noticed that IE3000 have it since a long time, and the small switches got it with 12.2(58).

I wanted to evaluate adoptions for my customers but I could not find word about in any documentation, release notes, nothing.

All references are about other products and can only used indirectly.

Just curious why Cisco doesn't document something like that.

Hello Paolo,

I am not familiar with IE3000. Regarding the small switches - if you means Catalysts 2960 and higher, they implement VTPv3 since 12.2(52), according to Command References and Configuration Guides. However, and I agree with you absolutely on this one, there is no mention about this new feature in 12.2(52) Release Notes documents. I knew about VTPv3 support on these fixed-form switches for quite a time but I have to admit that I do not remember how or when I stumbled across it for the first time.
