Hi everybody.
Long time no see ; I have been quite busy at work, hope everybody is fine.
R1 gig1/1------100M CIR--Service provider.
Above we are using policer of 100M outbound on gig1/1.
Assume we have 4 traffic class and each of them is configured weight 20 . i,e each traffic class will get 20 percent of BW. in times of full congestion.
Does the BW above refer to bandwidth defined using bandwidth command i.e 1000M under gig1/1 or policer's rate of 100M?
Much appreciated and have a great evening:)

It depends on a device.
Queuing, like WRR, requires congestion (and a device that supports and enables it). The congestion might be physical, the interface, or logical, a shaper.
A policer wouldn't "trigger" WRR because it doesn't queue traffic it just immediately drops the excess.

If you're policing, and not shaping, WRR won't engage.

Thanks for your response Joseph.
I apologize but could you confirm following:
if we do not define or politer/shaper on an interface, WRR will not work, we will end up FIFO.
Thanks.
