Folks, i implemented a stackwise virtual for 9500-24Y4C. Pretty much everything works after the DAD and SVL link was set up by rebooting the box. I have verified the model and IOS version is capable of running VSS. After this is done, i unplugged the primary box cables (all including DAD and SVL) and power it off. The standby box took the role as active and i continued to move the primary box to another rack. Then, i powered it up and plugged the SVL links first followed by the DAD link. This is when i realized the current active box which was standby previously started to reboot itself. Question is, is this an expected behavior (or bug?) or if the steps i did to restore the primary box triggered the issue, which is plugging SVL links first instead of DAD links? I recall last time TAC told me if the DAD link is down, it wont have any impact to the operation of the VSS. Please advice.
