What r tunnel through WAN . any guidence or tutorials on tunnels function in a company's network ?

hi,,,
you can say tunnel is like virtual link...and it will hide your physical interface ip address...u can provide the authenticaion also at both end as well as u can establish the secure connection on it...

a vpn network is setup specifically to allow connectivity to resources on a private network while requiring the security & authentication.
a tunnel on a network could be setup to simply allow the finance department send secured data to the marketinng department.
a tunnel on a network can also allow for a certain protocol to be tunneled through the network that could not otherwise be sent on its own due to limitations in the network.
