Hi,

It is the same regardless of STP mode. However, note that it won't be orange if it's a trunk link because it might be forwarding (not blocking) for other vlans.

Best regards,

Andras

Hi,

Thank you for replying.

It set it as follows.

*********************

Trunk pot:

Interface gi1/0/20

Switchport trunk mode

Switchport allowed vlan 10,20,30

Spanning-tree cost 200

***********************

Led of blocking port is green.

Best Regards,

The LED in this case is green because it is status/protocol up/up.  The STP status is not associated with the green light, as the green light is relation to physical layer functionality (ie. the port is up with matching speed/duplex and is now passing traffic).

Thank you for replying.

In this case, led of bolcking port is green, and is it correct?

I worry that I was not wrong in the setting

Best Regards,

Keiko Imachi

Correct. You can check by looking at the switch CLI via telnet or SSH and use the 'show spanning-tree ' command to verify the port state for each vlan.

Andras

This is correct.  If a port is up and blocking in a particular vlan, the LED will still show green to indicate an active connection.  No worries, this is running correctly as it should.

Hi,

I'm sorry for reply so late.

I could understand.
Thank you for a comprehensible explanation.

Best Regards,

Keiko

As I mentioned, the LED will only reflect the STP blocking status with an orange light if it's not a trunk port. In your case, since it's a trunk port, the LED will stay green.
