What is the boot sequence for an 2911 Router. How long does it take to boot up from power being turned till it is passing traffic.

It takes about 4 to 5 minutes.

So if your maintenance window is for 30 minutes, that should be more then enough.

The default boot sequence should be as follows:

1) POST

2) BOOT-STRAP (locates the IOS)

3) IOS

4) Starup Config
