Hi Murugan,
Catalyst and nexus are two different platform switches .
Nexus are mostly deployed in the datacenter environment as nexus as more forwarding capacity and low latency switches . Also mainly support Datacenter technology and convergence network support . Example N5K support both data and storage.
Also nexus OS has more robust than compare to catalyst IOS .
