Hi All
If we wanted redundancy in our top of rack switches if we were to swap to Nexus from 3850s etc, how would this look?
Can you stack Nexus 2000s then create a VPC to a 7k etc from both of them?
What is the solution here ?
cheers

Hi
93180 and 93240 we are using as TOR , 93240 is NX mode and ACI/NCI mode for moving to that down the line , 92340s support full X design too , 10GB line rate with 25gb/40gb and 100gb ports too in DC
Fexs are being retired completely from a meeting we had recently with Cisco there EO; in next couple years , no new 2ks so i wouldnt be purchasing them
You cant stack 2ks , 9300 ares the replacement in CAT for 3850s
If the Nexus is VPC and domain setup at core , there will be resiliency anyway , VPC to the edge switch and then dual linked back to each nexus like below physical design as an example

Hi Mark
How would it work if we have a server, dual homed to 2 switches in a port channel? if you have 2 separate switches in Nexus not using Fex, how is this achieved moving forward ?

Hi
it can still be directly connected like that , i have servers directly connected to the 9ks without going through a FEX and its just a VPC on the Nexus side and on the systems server side it was NIC teamed on that end , or if there was standard non FEX switch there its just a normal PO non VPC, is that what you mean ?

Hi
so if you do teaming from the server, what does the server see the 2 switches as? do you just create a VPC between the 2 server switches and then the server just sees this as a normal multi chassis etherchannel ?

If you looking DC Enthronement 5K and 2K combination or nexus 9K is also getting same price now a days.
If you looking Enterprise LAN to replace, then Cat 9200 Layer2, if you looking Cat 9300 advantage License should do for you (since you mentioned Stacking here in the post).
