what's Best Practices of Nexus 5000 vPC Design

hi

hope i'm on right place.

we have two N5K and serveral N2K single homed to each of the Nexus 5000.

vPC with Two Ports (sever) from Two Fabric Extenders. diagram like below , very classic design.

we have a mass of VLANs

my question are :

1. how to setup spanning tree root ?

1.1 all primary root on vPC primary N5k ?

1.2 or primary and secondary distribute on each N5K

2. similar question 1 , how to setup HSRP ?

2.1 all "active" on  vPC primary N5k ?

2.2 or distribute "active" "standby" on each N5K ?

What kind of N5K are you talking about? N5000 or N5500???

The answer is really based on your N5K, if they will do L2 only or L3.

If you can share your north bound diagram with me, I can guide you though.
