When to choose industrial switches?

Cisco's range of IE switches cater for a range of industrial applications.  I'm trying to determine what an IE switch can do that a 9300 switch cannot. So far i have:

- IE switches are physically small and can be DIN mounted. Ideal for tight spaces.

- IE switches are fanless and more rugged. They can cope with a wider range of temperatures

- IE switches can take an active role with several industrial protocols such as Profinet and Modbus

What are some other unique capabilities of IE2000, IE3300, and IE4000 switches?

Industrial switches mainly designed to work in rough environments like factories, industrial areas, where dust and temperature very high.

Most of the features you can get Cat 9300 its the same IOS or nearby feature you get IE, including switching and PoE.

It's like outdoor and indoor wireless AP, you can use indoor AP also outside, but the risk is high, same as Switch Cat 9300 or any other switches).
