Of course it bothers many potential buyers. Most buyers want to purchase items as inexpensively as possible. Fortunately, Cisco isn't a monopoly and there are other network hardware vendors generally offering network hardware for less cost. You'll need to decide whether Cisco's higher cost is actually worthwhile. Many find Cisco's additional cost acceptable when they factor in features unique to Cisco, that they believe they need, and Cisco's reliability (the latter, Cisco's equipment usually works as it's supposed to, and if it doesn't, they usually will fix it).
