Hi, I need to design a network which has currently very little resiliency, (no diverse routes or additional fibre and only a single core switch) however I believe designing it an G.8032 Ethernet ring will at least afford some fail-over benefits. What I don't know is whether this will work if the switches are stacked and then connected to its up stream and downstream neighbour by the top and bottom switches in each perspective stack (of 3)! Has anyone any experience of doing this is in a campus environment, with the latest 9000 series switches ? I realise that this wouldn't be the norm!
